Charger Alums Recognized for NCAA Seasons

CHARGER ALUMS RECOGNIZED FOR NCAA SEASONS

In addition to USF Bull defender Ben Sweat being tapped as the 14th overall pick of the MLS draft and signing with the Columbus Crew, recent Charger Development Academy members have also received accolades for stellar 2013-14 Division I collegiate seasons.

 

Georgetown’s Bakie Goodman was named to the Big East Conference All-Rookie team after scoring 4 goals as a midfielder in the Hoyas’ march to the regular season conference championship and run into the NCAA championship tournament.

 

 

 

Danny George was selected as the goalkeeper for the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman team after recording 6 shutouts during the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles’ march to the regular season conference championship.

 

 

Danny’s brother, Jeff George, was also named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Freshman team for his solid defending during the East Tennessee State Bucs’ run to the conference tournament championship.

 

 

 

 

Pat Shelton, son of our Director of Business, in addition to earning a perfect 4.0 GPA, was tapped for the Big South Conference All-Freshman team after scoring 6 goals as a midfielder during the High Point Panthers’ run to a 2nd place conference finish.
