Chargers Competitive Families:
As a non-profit, the Club organizes volunteers to work events at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre. If you are interested in earning money to apply towards your player’s registration fees, here’s what you need to know:
Our volunteers work concession stands at the Amphitheatre during events, in return the Club receives a percentage of sales. 15% of each event payment is applied directly towards the management and organization hard costs. The balance (85%), plus all tips, is divided equally amongst the volunteers for each event and is banked by player/family. The banked amount is applied first toward Club registration fees. Once registration fees are paid off, any remaining balance may be used for certain soccer related expenses, such as team fees, or carried over for the following season. It may also be possible to arrange an extended payment plan for your club registration fees, reducing or eliminating out-of-pocket expenses. Please note, it takes about a month to receive event commissions and an additional week to process. Each volunteer is provided with an itemized statement.
Many volunteers have successfully paid off all or part of their registration and team fees. The amount you earn is based on your commitment to work. You can choose to work as many or as few concerts as you like. The more you work, the more you earn!
To volunteer at the Amphitheatre, you must be at least 21 years old. TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification is also required. The free TIPS class must be taken in-person at the Amphitheatre. The class teaches volunteers to responsibly serve and sell alcohol. Your certification is valid for 3 years. Please keep in mind that TIPS classes are very limited and are usually only offered at the beginning of each event season which typically begins in April/May.
