U8 - $150 + fundraiser
U10 thru U19 - $170 + fundraiser
What is this season’s **fully-recoupable** fundraiser?
Parents of each player will purchase $50 worth of raffle tickets (5 tickets) at the time of their registration. Then each family will have the option to sell those 5 tickets and recoup their full $50 investment or, if they would like, they can keep their tickets for themselves. The raffle will have realy cool electronic gadgets and other great items making them easy to sell. The raffle drawing will be held in January and there will be opportunities to sell additional tickets to help offset your registration fees. Click here to see last season’s raffle prizes and winners.
What Is Included?
11 week season - 2 practices and a game per week, full uniform (Nike Jersey, Nike shorts and Nike socks), end of the year trophy and end of the year jamboree.
Do we have to purchase a City of Clearwater Recreation Card?
Yes, The City of Clearwater requires all players playing with Clearwater based youth sports programs to purchase a City Recreation Card in order to practice and play on City fields. For the Chargers Fall Rec season, your card needs to be valid through 12/31/13. Click here for more information on the City’s website - see the "Recreation Cards" link listed in their left margin.
In order to assist with that process, the Chargers will provide to:
City Residents: a $7.50 discount to their Chargers Registration Fee (the amount to purchase a resident City Rec Card). A copy of your City Rec Card receipt (card valid through 12/31/13) will be required *. During the online registration process, you will find the city resident discount in Step 2 of 4.
Non-City Residents: The City of Clearwater offers a separate Recreation card for non-residents. A copy of the City Rec Card receipt (card valid through 12/31/13) will be required *. If your child already has one for other City of Clearwater activities, all we need is a copy of your receipt *.
We encourage all non-resident families to obtain a City Rec Card for their child. We also recognize that for some, the City fee is a financial burden that will block their ability to allow their child to play soccer this season. We do not want that to happen and have gathered sponsorship funds available to cover your City Rec Card cost. Please print and complete the City Rec Card Sponsorship Fund form and return it to us at the time of your registration. Any questions please contact Sergio Rapuano at clearwaterchargers.recsoccer@gmail.com.
* If you no longer have your receipt, please obtain a print out from one of the following City Rec Center locations: Countryside Recreation Center (2640 Sabal Springs Drive, Clearwater, FL 33761) or The Long Center (1501 N. Belcher Rd., Clearwater, FL 33765).
When does the Fall Rec soccer season starts?
Our travel rec league (U12 and up) is projected to start late October/early November.
Our In-House league (U10 and under) is projected to start mid November. You should hear from a coach about 2 weeks prior to our start date. * Start dates are subject to change due to field space.
